COLOUR will be running through Barrhead next month when the annual Rainbow Run takes place on Saturday, June 15.

People are being urged to book their tickets for the event, which has sold out in its previous two outings.

This year’s fun run, which sees participants sprayed with paint on the way round, will feature more obstacles, inflatables and entertainment than ever before.

Taking place in around Carlibar and Centenary Park, all ages can take part in the event, but extra care should be taken with young children as it can be very busy.

The majority of the route is suitable for wheelchair users, but there are some hills and some areas where people may need to take an alternative path.

The event will run from 11am to 4.30pm, with a run especially for those with additional support needs taking place at 11am.

This race will be open to a smaller number of participants and feature quieter music and announcements.

Tickets are priced between £9 and £13.
