VETERANS across East Renfrewshire will be treated to an increased level of care thanks to Poppy Scotland’s new Welfare Support Service.
The service will provide a person-centred support system for particularly vulnerable ex-servicemen and women who may have complex issues.
Eastwood MSP Jackson Carlaw spoke to Poppy Scotland representatives in the Scottish Parliament recently.
And the Conservative politician said he strongly welcomed the new support service.
He said: “Poppy Scotland provides hugely valuable support to veterans living in Scotland. I was delighted to chat with representatives of the charity about the new Welfare Support Service and the support it will offer to members of the Armed Forces community.
“This will add to the excellent range of services already provided by Poppy Scotland.”
The Welfare Support Service will enhance Poppy Scotland’s already existing support services for veterans.
