GREAT news for everyone in East Renfrewshire as the sunny weather is set to continue for the next couple of days, writes Gregg Kelly.

Be prepared to lather on the sun tan lotion and freeze those Capri Sun's tomorrow, because it's gonna get hot.

With the weather topping 23C at Midday on Wednesday, East Renfrewshire will officially be warmer than San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.

The Met Office has predicted that Wednesday will see the Mercury peak at 23C in Barrhead, Neilston and across East Renfrewshire.

Today should see the temperature peak at 22C, and lead onto a warm and delightful evening.

Thursday will be bright and sunny but may see a few rain spells later on in the evening.

In East Renfrewshire on Friday, the weather is expected to be dry and bright.

A great start to the weekend and perfect beer garden weather.

A Met Office spokesman said: "On Wednesday it will be another dry day with long sunny spells across the area. Becoming very warm away from any afternoon sea breezes, Maximum temperature 23 °C.

"Sunny spells Thursday, though chance of the odd shower later. Staying mainly dry and bright on Friday."
