REVELLERS flocked to Barrhead for the return of the much-loved indoor market.

There were stalls galore selling a little something for everyone including jewellery and homemade crafts and gifts.

There were activities for children to get involved in and people could find out more about relaxation with Reiki and massage taster sessions.

Organiser, Natalie Wood, told the Barrhead News that although there has been a good turn out, she hopes to get more residents to come along.

She said: “We have around 27 stalls at the market with a mixture of what is being sold.

“It was a really good event and it is going well but we do need a bigger footfall.

“I have got my own stall at the market as the massage therapist and I took over organising the event.

“It would be good for everyone to know that we do hold the market every month and everyone is welcome to come along as it is free to get in.

“There is the new cafe downstairs in the Foundry for people to sit down and have a wee cup of tea or coffee.

“We always have a wide variety of stalls, selling things at an affordable value.”

The Barrhead Market is held at the Foundry on the second Saturday of every month from March to December.

The next indoor market will take place in Barrhead on Saturday, May 11.
