TWO East Renfrewshire schools are up for top titles at the Scottish Education Awards.
Neilston Primary School and Mearns Primary School have both been shortlisted for the prestigious ceremony, which recognises success in Scottish education.
Neilston Primary has been nominated for the 1+2 Languages and Internationalism prize.
Teacher Linsay Allen said: “Reaching the final stages is a great achievement and we have been working extremely hard to raise the standard of language teaching in our school.
“Neilston is certainly blazing a trail for language learning and internationalism in our authority, and now it would seem we are being recognised nationally.”
Mearns Primary has been shortlisted for the STEM award, which recognises the achievements of youngsters in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
The Scottish Education Awards celebrate those who dedicate their lives to young people and showcase the work and innovation in classrooms.
