TALENTED youngsters collected an impressive haul of medals after putting their best foot forward at dance exams.
Members of the Jayne Arthur Theatre School, in Barrhead, performed under the watchful eyes of experienced examiners as they were put to the test across many dance genres, including ballet, tap, highland and jazz.
The school is led by former professional dancer Jayne, who is full of praise for the children after their successful efforts.
She told the Barrhead News: “I am thrilled for my pupils, who have worked so hard again this year towards their exams.
“A huge amount of work was put in to achieve these great results.”
More than 300 exams were taken at the latest sessions and not only did the school maintain its long-standing immaculate 100 per cent pass rate, but the majority of children were rewarded with the highest two marks – highly commended and honours.
Pupils are now working hard towards their annual showcase, which takes place in June.
Jayne, who hails from Barrhead, added: “It is a huge job choreographing and costuming our shows but I take a great amount of satisfaction when I see the year-end performances and know the experience will stay with my pupils forever and inspire them for the future.”
