A WOMAN was arrested after an alleged homophobic incident took place in Barrhead.
Police said at around 2pm on Thursday, March 28, a man working at the town’s Asda store was verbally abused by a 25-year-old woman.
A spokesperson confirmed the woman was arrested and charged with acting in a “threatening and abusive manner” while shouting homophobic phrases.
