RESTORATION work at the James McGuire Building is taking shape.
The 115-year-old building, on Barrhead’s Main Street, is the new home of the Include Me 2 Club, which is busy turning it into a community hub.
Paul McIlvenny, from Include Me 2, said: “It is progressing well. We are getting on with the painting, decorating and stripping it out and, hopefully, planning permission will be approved to allow us to drop one of the partition walls, which will open up the space.
“We have found old, sandstone walls hidden behind the existing walls, so hopefully we’ll be returning some of the features and originally masonry work to the building.”
