MARCH is set to get mild, with above-average temperatures expected for this time of year.
Following heavy rain and cooler conditions, East Renfrewshire and Renfrewshire could see a forecast of a balmy 17C, tomorrow and Thursday, March 21.
And parts of the country, which are sheltered from westerly winds, are likely to see the best of the sunshine and warmer weather, the Met Office said.
Met Office spokesman, Richard Miles, added: “If the sun comes out in sunny spells they could get up to that 17C peak temperature, but the majority of temperatures are going to be more around the mid-teens.
“It will pretty much be mild everywhere but it’s just that those peak temperatures are more likely to be on the eastern side of the country.”
