Residents urged to 'plan ahead' as busy road is set for closure
BARRHEAD motorists are being urged to prepare for delays as a busy road is closed for repairs.
From Monday, April 1, until Friday, April 12, Aurs Drive will be shut between its junctions with Arthurlie Street, Arthurlie Avenue and Kelvin Drive.
This is to allow resurfacing work to take place.
All traffic, except work vehicles and those from the emergency services, will be unable to access these residential roads during the works.
Access to properties within the sealed-off area may be permitted when it is possible to do so.
Roads chiefs have suggested alternative routes along Arthurlie Street, Weir Avenue and Arthurlie Avenue and via Aurs Drive, Auburn Drive and Langton Crescent.
