SCOTLAND is to be hit by snow this weekend, prompting the Met Office to issue a weather warning.
The national weather forecaster’s yellow warning will come into effect for East Ren and Renfrewshire from 4am on Saturday, lasting until 9pm.
The team said stranded cars and passengers are likely, as are delays and cancellations to trains and flights.

The warning says: “A spell of snow may bring some travel disruption, especially over higher ground.
“There is a small chance of significant travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.”
