OVER 30 jobs have been created in Renfrewshire after a care-provider secured a contract with the council.

The five-year partnership between HRM Homecare and Renfrewshire Council is set to begin next week and could support up to 300 local service users.

Active recruitment for care support workers has begun in the local communities of Paisley and Renfrew.

As the demand for care at home services continues to grow, the new staff will provide critical support and care, enabling vulnerable adults to remain living in their own home.

HRM Homecare will provide a full induction and training programme to new recruits and will offer SVQ qualifications.

HRM Homecare Managing Director, Lynn Laughland, said “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and we are keen to work alongside the local communities and employment services to ensure jobs are available for people who live in the areas.

“We are looking for kind, reliable and compassionate people with the drive and ambition to support our service users. Our aim is to improve lives with the services we offer and to do this, it’s important we work collaboratively and in partnership.

“A job in care promises a varied diverse career. The duties will change daily based on the needs of the individual service user but usually include assistance with personal care, providing meals and collecting prescriptions.

“This new contract award success for our team means that over a 25-year period we have grown our ability to reach over 9 local authority communities across central Scotland.”
