EMERGENCY services swooped on the grounds of an old Glasgow hospital yesterday amid reports a man had climbed a crane.
Around 5.55pm, police were called to the old Western Infirmary on Church Street after a man climbed the structure within the hospital grounds.

Fire crews and an ambulance also attended.
Around 8pm, the man climbed down and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Around 5.55pm on Sunday, February 17, police were called to the old Western Infirmary on Church Street in Glasgow.

"A man had climbed a crane within the grounds.
"Emergency services attended and around 8pm the climbed down and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for assessment."
