POLICE are investigating the attempted theft of two JCB-type diggers.
The vehicles are believed to have been targeted near to Shilford Road, on the outskirts of Neilston, sometime on Saturday or Sunday.
Sergeant Michael Morgenthaler is keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of any “significant-sized” vehicles in the area which could have been used in the attempt to steal the diggers.
He said: “This incident occurred at some point between Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening. In order to steal these industrial pieces, it would require a significant-sized lorry and/or trailer to move them.
“If anyone has seen any suspicious activity on that stretch of road or has dashcam footage showing any low-loader type vehicles or vehicles with a very large trailer parked or manoeuvring in that area, we would keen to see that footage.
