THE woman who was killed after being struck by a car near the Eastwood Toll has been named locally as Astrid Yeates.
Astrid, 21, was hit by a silver coloured car around 7.35am on Friday on Ayr Road (A77) near Woodvale Avenue.
She was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where she later died.

The driver of the car was uninjured but left badly shaken.
Police have appealed for witnesses and those with dashcam footage to come forward.
Sergeant Andrew Mair said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident. "People may have been making their way to work or heading out for the papers and I would ask them to contact us if they have any information.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact officers at Road Policing Unit at Helen Street via 101, quoting incident number 0531 of Friday 18 January 2019."
It's understood Astrid's father is Skills Development Scotland chief executive Damien Yeates.
Astrid's family did not wish to comment at this time.
