ScotRail have confirmed that someone has been hit by a train in the Glasgow area.
The incident took place on the rail line between Carntyne and High Street.

A breakdown to an Edinburgh train caused delays and disruptions to Queen Street lower level trains earlier today.

As a result of the person being hit in Glasgow a knock on effect was felt through the network, with services between Helensburgh Central/Milngavie and Edinburgh facing cancellations.
The condition of the person involved is currently unknown.
British Transport Police are dealing with the incident.
