PEOPLE who are aged 50 or over can kick-start efforts to improve their health by taking part in walking football sessions in East Renfrewshire.
The sport aims to promote an active lifestyle, as well as giving participants the chance to socialise with other people.
Sessions take place at the Barrhead Foundry from 1pm to 2pm every Friday and the cost is £3, which can be paid on the day.
If you’d find it easier to take part in Newton Mearns or would rather enjoy a kickabout at night, there are also sessions at Mearns Primary School on Tuesdays, from 7.30pm to 9pm.
These cost £4.
Anyone who is aged over 50 and keen to be more active in 2019 can find out more by calling 0141 577 3922.
