MUSIC lovers can enjoy the sounds of the 50s when a highly-acclaimed show rocks and rolls its way into East Renfrewshire.

Expect a string of hits from one of the golden ages of music as ‘Buddy Holly & The Cricketers: Not Fade Away’ is performed at Eastwood Park Theatre on Sunday, February 10.

A spokesperson for the Giffnock-based theatre said: “This breathtaking show has rock ‘n’ rolled audiences across the globe and is guaranteed to have everyone singing along to the music and dancing in the aisles.

“It stars some of the finest actor-musicians in the UK, whose combined West End credits include Buddy, Lennon, Forbidden Planet and Jailhouse Rock, and was endorsed as Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly act when the boys guested on BBC One’s Saturday night live programme, The One and Only, hosted by Graham Norton.

“The show rarely pauses for breath and is, quite simply, the most compelling concert of its kind.”

Among the hits featured are That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Heartbeat, It Doesn’t Matter Anymore and Raining In My Heart.

The show starts at 7.30pm and standard tickets cost £18.50, with concessions available for £17.50.
