THIS year's most popular baby names in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire have been revealed...with Jack top of the tots for boys.
However, it seems parents of newborn girls found it more difficult to choose the perfect moniker.
Olivia was the most popular girl's name in Renfrewshire but there was a three-way split in East Renfrewshire, where Holly, Isla and Sophie shared top spot.
Statistics released yesterday by the National Records of Scotland show there have been 18 Jacks registered in Renfrewshire so far this year.
The second most popular name for boys was Finn, with Alfie, Harris and Lucas in a three-way tie for third place.
The full Renfrewshire top ten
Olivia was the name given to 18 girls born in Renfrewshire, with Emily in second place and Jessica in third.
A total of 14 boys born in East Renfrewshire have been named Jack, which left James and Rory in second and third place respectively.
Behind the top trio of Holly, Isla, and Sophie for girls' names in East Renfrewshire are Ava and Eva.
Jack continues to reign supreme in East Renfrewshire
In Scotland as a whole, Olivia was the top girls’ name for the third consecutive year and Jack has been in the top spot for 11 years running.
Emily retains second place while Isla in third for girls and James and Oliver share second place for boys with Logan just behind.
