A SPECIAL gathering will take place at a Barrhead church this weekend to support those who struggle to embrace the festive season.
Bourock Church is to host a ‘Blue Christmas’ service for people who have experienced tough times in 2018 and find it hard to celebrate when so many others are in a party mood.
A spokesperson said: “For those who are facing difficulties or spending the festive season without a loved one, Christmas can be a time of deep pain.
“Some may find it hard to attend a church service this Christmas but the Blue
Christmas service offers all who come along an opportunity to be with others in their sadness.
“The service is reflective, quiet and focuses on hope and healing. Prayers will be said, Bible passages read and music will be played.”
Everyone is welcome to attend the service, which takes place at 3pm on Sunday. There is no dress code
