ONE of the UK’s top tribute bands is getting ready to rock East Renfrewshire.

It has been announced that The Quo Experience will perform at Eastwood Park Theatre, in Giffnock, next year.

The band, based in East Anglia, has been widely acclaimed for its tribute show to legendary rockers Status Quo.

And those who go along to the Giffnock gig can expect to hear a string of hits, including Whatever You Want, Rockin’ All Over The World, In The Army Now and Burning Bridges.

A spokesperson for the promoters said: “The Quo Experience features David Wood as Francis Rossi and Dave Crawte as Rick Parfitt.

“Both have spent years studying every detail of Rossi and Parfitt’s looks, playing styles and stage performances to make sure they are both as close to the real thing on stage as is possible, without actually being the legendary rock duo themselves.

“The magic and chemistry that the partnership between Parfitt and Rossi brought to a live performance by Status Quo is now being continued within The Quo Experience.

“The Quo Experience is not just another Quo tribute band –it is an ongoing chance to enjoy the sounds and looks of Britain’s biggest singles chart band of all time.”

You can see The Quo Experience at Eastwood Park Theatre on Friday, May 10, starting at 7.30pm.

Standard tickets cost £22.50, with concessions available for £20.

Bring a group of 10 people and one person can go free.
