TEA, coffee, cakes and crafts helped pay the way for weeks of fun activities for the 1st Neilston Boys’ Brigade.

Determined youngsters coined in hundreds of pounds through their annual coffee morning.

Members of the community donated second-hand toys and clothes, which were on sale alongside delectable home baking, arts and crafts.

Business was brisk at Neilston Parish Church Halls on Saturday as visitors dropped in to sample the stalls and take part in the raffle and tombola.

A wide variety of Christmas cards and decorations were on offer, including wreaths and ornaments for the tree – all of them hand-made by the officers and boys from 1st Neilston.

Knitted baby clothes, light-up bottles and sweetie bags were also among the items available for purchase.

A great morning was had by all at the event, which raised a grand total of £613.

Organisers gave their thanks to everyone who came along to help out and said the money will go a long way in making sure the boys have a fun-packed programme of activities every week.

The 1st Neilston Boys’ Brigade welcomes everyone aged from five to 18, with various sessions taking place at the church hall.
