COPS are continuing to appeal for information after a 61-year-old man was viciously assaulted in a targeted attack in a scrap metal yard.
The victim was forced to make his own way to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, following the assault in French Street, Renfrew, at around 2pm on Friday, October 19.
He has since been discharged.

Paisley CID officers are still working to establish the full circumstances of this assault, however, believe that the man was the intended target of the vicious attack.
Officers have been speaking to people in the area and continue to study CCTV footage in the vicinity. From enquiries so far, two men are seen running off from French Street at the time of the assault.
Due to the location, it is believed that the attackers may have had access to a car and possibly made of in it. Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious vehicles in the street or indeed anyone hanging about the area prior to the attack or running off afterwards.
