Barrhead campaigner Sean Clerkin was spotted enthusiastically dancing at Saturday's Hope Over Fear rally in Glasgow.

The Scottish Resistance supporter was one of around 500 pro-independence campaigners who attended the event in George Square, led by former MSP Tommy Sheridan.

The event began around 10am on Saturday with the screening of scenes from Mel Gibson’s 1995 Hollywood blockbuster Braveheart, as bagpipe music blared from speakers.

Minutes later the Scottish Resistance supporter can be spotted again.

Despite being suspended from the Scottish Resistance group earlier this year, Mr Clerkin can clearly be seen wearing a t-shirt showing the group's branding on Saturday.

He is well-known for past political action, including campaigning to save the Barrhead Main Street Post Office, challenging business leaders Tunnock's, and demanding the arrest of former Prime Minister David Cameron.
