Man charged with drugs and weapon possession in Paisley
A MAN was charged with being in possession of drugs and a weapon in Paisley.
Just before midnight on Tuesday, August 7, police received information about a suspicious man in a vehicle parked in the Shortroods area.
Officers found the man to be under the influence of drugs and found a quantity of cannabis resin and a number of tablets, thought to be controlled drugs, on him.
An offensive weapon was also recovered from the vehicle, and the man was charged with road traffic offences as well as being in possession of drugs and a weapon.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court in the coming weeks.
