THREE people have been charged by police following an incident in which a Neilston man was allegedly attacked.
Officers were called to reports of a disturbance in Madras Place, Neilston, at around 6.45am on Saturday.
Following enquiries, a 33-year-old woman was charged with serious assault.
In addition, two men, aged 30 and 32, were charged with conducting themselves in a threatening or abusive manner.
Police reported that the victim of the alleged attack – a 30-year-old man – was taken to hospital for treatment to facial injuries after being struck with a weapon.
Officers would not confirm what weapon was used in the alleged assault.
It has been confirmed that reports were submitted to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident.
All three people charged by police were due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court this week.
