POLICE are keen to speak to two women and a man following a sexual assault in Erskine.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for any information after a 43-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in the town on Sunday at around 3.15am.

The woman was walking her dog on a footpath in Rashieburn near to Rashielee Avenue when she was grabbed from behind and assaulted.

Officers are now keen to speak to two women and a man who were in the area at the time and may have seen the attack take place.

Detective Inspector Ian Ross at Paisley Police Office said:

“Officers have been carrying out enquiries and are particularly keen to speak to two women and a man who were in the area at the time of the attack and may have seen it take place or have information that can help us.

“The man is described as being around 20 years old, of slim build and had been near the underpass after the incident, and the two women were in Rashieburn just before, around 3 am.

“These individuals are key and may hold information to assist the enquiry.

“Any information that can help us identify the person responsible for this terrible attack is vital. We urge you to come forward.”

The woman did not require hospital treatment, but was left extremely distressed by the incident.
