SIX races and more than a ton of paint ensured that the second annual Barrhead Rainbow Run was a colourful affair.
Over 7,000km was covered by all the runners who took part, with the equivalent of three Mt Everests climbing on the race course’s inflatables.
The sell-out day, organised by All About Barrhead, attracted thousands of residents to the fun run which was held in the parks in the centre of the town on Saturday.
As well as the day’s main attraction, music and entertainment were provided by hosts from Pulse FM, while other stalls from Catherine Rose, Subway Barrhead and the Foundry Café made sure that everyone at the event was well fed.
All About Barrhead’s manager Andy Dunlop said: “A great day, and even the heavy rain in the morning didn’t dampen spirits.
“The sun shone on the afternoon and everyone had a great day.”
