A BARRHEAD family met their hero a decade ago as Spice Girl Mel B visited Silverburn Shopping Centre.
The pop star, who was in town as the face of lingerie brand Ultimo, thrilled hundreds of fans who gathered at the mall.
Therese Kerins, 45, a personal shopper in the centre’s Debenhams store, had the privilege of getting up close and personal with the singing sensation.
Her children Rebecca, 11, and eight-year-old Therese rushed straight from lessons at St Mark’s Primary to get into the queue to see their idol.
Delighted mum Therese said at the time: “Mel was fabulous and very funny.
“My children were on such a high after getting to meet her and she even cuddled them too, which was great.”
