Pupils at a Barrhead school were given a taste of martial arts as they were joined by members of the Japan Karate Academy.
Instructors Jennifer Cook and Stephen Blake run sessions at St John’s Primary on Fridays and organised a taster session to open the sport to new members.
Jennifer said: “The kids really got into it. We want to give them an idea of what karate is really about.”
The club, which has been active for around 18 months, stages its sessions at the school from 4pm until 6pm, welcoming kids from across Barrhead.
Anyone who is interested in joining should call Jennifer on 0782 882 0158.
