An East Renfrewshire yoga instructor is inviting families to take part in one of her classes to raise money for a charity that supports children with no access to education.

Deborah Grossman, who runs classes under the banner Yoga With Debs, is inviting anyone over the age of four to take part in a special session.

All of the money raised will be donated to Educate for Life, which integrates education, healthcare and community development work to support marginalised and deprived communities in rural India.

The charity also runs Hunar Ghar – a 500-capacity school where most of the students are the first in their family to receive an education.

It is hoped the fundraising event will coin in £400.

The session takes place at Broom Parish Church, in Newton Mearns, on Sunday, May 20, starting at 2pm.

Entry costs £20 for an adult and child together, with a further £5 charge for each additional person.
