AN EAST Renfrewshire school took centre stage at Glasgow’s Europe Day celebrations, showcasing their love for language.
Neilston Primary School performed a selection of Portuguese songs at the event.
Organised by the European Commission, in conjunction with both the Scottish and European Parliaments, the children were given the chance to shine as part of their project teaching pupils three additional languages in class.
Neilston teacher Lindsay Allen said: “ It’s a fantastic achievement for the children and the school. Nobody has ever done this before.
“We are blazing a trail for language learning and putting Neilston on the map.”
