Pupils at Kilbarchan Primary put their linguistic skills to the test at a series of Gaelic workshops.
The fun included a Big Gaelic Beasties session, which saw youngsters in the primary two and three classes learn about some of the creatures that feature in traditional Gaelic storytelling.
Little ones were left enthralled as performance artist Ariel Killick delivered tales of the Water Horse, the Urisk, King of the Otters and the Five-Headed Giant.
Amanda Doyle, depute headteacher at Kilbarchan Primary, said pupils have been lapping up the chance to learn about Gaelic heritage.
She told The Gazette: “The children have loved learning about Gaelic words and interactive storytelling.
“In particular, they enjoyed the actions and how interactive it was, especially getting to dress up. It was a great way for them to be informed in a fun environment.”
Other sessions have included Circus Skills, which gave pupils an opportunity to develop their hand-to-eye coordination at the same time as boosting their Gaelic language skills.
This was through a live circus-style performance that kids could get involved in.
The youngsters also enjoyed adventures with the Gaelic Tree Alphabet, learning about native trees.
