JOHNSTONE'S busy High Street came to a standstill following a two-car smash.
A taxi crashed into a Range Rover yesterday at around 3.30pm, which saw the road shut for around an hour.
Both the drivers suffered from minor injuries however neither required hospital treatment.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We were called to a road traffic accident involving two vehicles in Johnstone High Street on Thursday at around 3.30pm.
“A Range Rover and a taxi were involved and there were reports of injuries, however these were not life threatening.
“The road was closed for an hour and diversions were put in place.
“Enquiries are continuing into the incident at this stage.”
Last week, The Gazette also reported that a driver was taken to hospital following a two-car crash in Johnstone town centre.
Passers-by watched as a private hire car operated by Johnstone TOA was involved in a collision with a white Vauxhall Astra.
The incident took place on the town’s High Street, near the Lidl supermarket, at around 10.20pm on Friday.
After receiving hospital treatment, the driver of the red Skoda cab was released.
A spokeswoman for Johnstone TOA said: “One of our cabs was involved in a collision on Johnstone High Street.
“Our driver was taken to hospital and later released. This matter is currently under investigation by police.”
