BUSES have started running again after East Renfrewshire was brought to a standstill yesterday due to heavy snowfall and high winds.

McGill's and First Buses are running services as and when they can but commuters are being warned there will still be disruption and delays.

Trains remain suspended across the area and Network Rail has said drifting snow is making clearing lines 'very challenging'.

Glasgow Airport is still closed but staff are working to try and get it open later on today.

The amber weather warning expires at 10am today but a yellow warning will remain in place all day and motorists are being urged not to drive unless absolutely necessary.
