All East Renfrewshire schools and nurseries will remain closed tomorrow due to continuing adverse weather conditions.
Schools across the area have been shut since Wednesday morning after ongoing snow and cold weather brought the area to a standstill.
A red weather warning expired at 10am today but the highest amber warning is still in place until tomorrow morning.
An East Renfrewshire Council spokesman said: "All our schools and nurseries will remain closed tomorrow (Friday).
"We will update over the weekend with regards to Monday.
"We will post an update about Council buildings and services later today."
As well as schools, bin collections have also been postponed today.
No bin collections will be carried out today due to the adverse weather conditions. It would not be possible for our bin lorries to safely complete their routes. We will update residents as soon as possible with details of plans for resuming collections. pic.twitter.com/gUPNXh10Nc
