A NEW care company is aiming to create 50 jobs by helping older people live in their own homes.

Home Instead Senior Care, launched by Paisley businessman Paul Armstrong, will provide services across Renfrewshire and Barrhead.

Paul has moved into the care sector after working in the life sciences industry for three decades.

His new business aims to help ensure older people can live independently for longer by matching care-givers with clients based on common interests to help them build long-lasting relationships.

Paul said: “I’m thrilled to be making caring for older people in my local area my professional focus.

“Our family recently lost my father and, through that difficult time, we all realised just how difficult it can be when you suddenly need to find care for a loved one and you do not know who to turn to for help.

“The work of Home Instead is important in many ways and we aim to help people access the right care for their needs.

“Our care visits are for a minimum of one hour every time. That’s rare in the care industry.

“I am proud to be launching with a much-valued team who are delivering care just how it should be.”
