BIRD-WATCHERS are being called upon to take part in the world’s largest garden wildlife survey.
The 2018 RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch takes place from Saturday until Monday, with people in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire being asked to take an hour over the weekend to record birds they see.
Nearly half a million people took part in the event last year, counting more than eight million birds.
The house sparrow (pictured left) remained top of the tree in Scotland, with starlings and chaffinches close behind.
To take part, submit the highest number of each bird species you see at any one time in your garden at www.rspb.org.uk/birdwatch.
