A TRIBUTE to David Bowie which went viral two years ago will be repeated in Glasgow today.

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum organist Chris Nickol will play Life on Mars at 1pm to mark two years since the singer's death.

Bowie died from liver cancer in his New York City apartment on January 10, 2016.

His death came two days after his 69th birthday and the release of the album Blackstar.

The museum released a statement on Twitter to confirm the tribute.

The statement said: "Superstar singer David Bowie died two years ago today. On hearing of his death, our organist Chris Nickol stunned visitors by playing Life on Mars during the lunchtime recital.

"Chris was stunned when his performance went viral. He will repeat the tribute today from 1pm."
