COPS are hunting for a thug who attacked a young boy while he was waiting on a bus.

The 15-year-old was attacked by the man, who was in his 60s, sometime between 9.30pm and 9.50pm on Saturday, January 6 in Greenock's Kilblain Street.

Police say they attack was unprovoked and are now hunting for the man responsible.

The force also said that the teenager was uninjured.

The attacker is described as white, around 5ft 5inches tall and of medium build.

He was wearing a dark coat and black trousers.
