YOUNGSTERS at a Barrhead nursery let their imaginations run wild in a bid to help those less fortunate than themselves.
The children at the Railway Cottage nursery went to great lengths to raise almost £500 for this year’s Children In Need appeal.
Kids in the room for two to five-year-olds took part in a pyjama party, including some dancing and singing, before chilling out on rugs and pillows for story time.
They also took part in a duck race for a chance to win tickets to Planet Play, in Barrhead.
Meanwhile, the younger children had a teddy bears picnic, bringing their own cuddly toys along for the day.
In addition, they put their baking skills to the test by making Pudsey cakes for their parents to buy.
Nursery manager Pamela Wallace said: “We had an amazing raffle with prizes such as meals for two at local restaurants, salon vouchers and gift cards.
“The businesses in the area have been fantastic with their donations and I would like to thank them all. It does make you realise there are kind people in our community and the staff at Railway Cottage are glad to be part of that.
“We raised a total of £490 for Children in Need, which is amazing as it is such a great cause. Our families were so generous and without them we would never have raised so much.”
