A SANTA express train will ferry passengers around Barrhead as part of the town's Christmas lights switch-on event.
Touring all around the town throughout the day, the service will stop and pick up revellers at the Foundry, Tesco and the Main Street shopping centre.
Barrhead's Business Improvement District (BID), which is overseeing the event, announced the plans on its official Facebook page.
Featuring a new-look Santa parade, a Christmas market and grotto, funfair rides and fireworks, the Big Barrhead Christmas Lights Switch-on will take place on Saturday, December 2.
The winner of the BID's Christmas jumper design competition will be the first lucky passenger on the train, alongside Santa himself, at midday.
Search for 'All About Barrhead' on Facebook or Twitter for competition details and to keep up-to-date with the latest BID developments.
