POLICE are hunting a yob who hurled a paving stone through the window of a Barrhead home.

A resident in Centre Way woke during the night to find the block lying on the floor of the flat last Friday morning.

Although nobody was injured during the incident, police are eager to speak to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity.

Sergeant Michael Morganthaler, of Giffnock Police Station, said: “We are currently investigating a report of a vandalism which occurred overnight from Thursday into Friday at an address in Centre Way.

“Someone threw a paving stone through a window of a ground-floor flat.

“There were no injuries but we would be keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious between 9pm on the Thursday and 4am on the Friday.”
