COMMUNITIES across East Renfrewshire are being encouraged to tuck into the STV Big Scottish Breakfast appeal.
The October 27 event will see schools, businesses and community groups across the country getting together for a morning meal to raise money to help buy needy children clothes and warm food.
To date, the STV Children’s Appeal has raised more than £13.7million and helped 62,000 children.
Paul Masterton, MP for East Renfrewshire, visited Abbeyfield House, in Giffnock, to promote the event.
He told the Barrhead News: “It is great to be able to promote such an important charity event. The difference each donation can make to a child’s life is remarkable.”
