A COUPLE had to be cut free from a car in Kilbarchan following an accident.

Emergency services were in attendance at the incident on Monday, September 25 at around 4pm.

The vehicle was found upturned on its roof near Low Barholm.

At the time of the accident the road was closed for around two hours and traffic was diverted.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received a call at approximately 4pm on Monday, September 25 to attend a road traffic collision in Kilbarchan.

"We dispatched one ambulance, our special operations response team and a manager to the scene.

"Two patients, one male and one female, were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.”
