CAR enthusiasts who went that extra mile to support a worthy cause managed to coin in hundreds of pounds.
The seventh annual Clydeside Cruisers vintage car show has been declared a success, with a bumper sum raised for MND Scotland.
Hundreds of people went along to the event, staged in Lochwinnoch, to show their support for the charity, which offers care and support to people affected by Motor Neurone Disease.
There were around 85 models on display, much to the delight of petrolheads who came from near and far.
Among the cars on show were vintage Mustangs, Corvettes, Cadillacs and Chevrolets.
Paddy McColgan, event organiser, told The Gazette: “Although this year’s event was slightly quieter than usual, due to the weather, we managed to collect £200 for the charity.
“There was a DJ playing music and we had entertainment for kids, so there was something for the whole family to enjoy.”
Plans are already under way for next year’s Clydeside Cruisers show, which is scheduled to take place from August 17 to 19.
