A BARRHEAD road is closed after a bus shed hundreds of litres of diesel across the carriageway just before rush hour.
Police were called to the scene on Grahamston Road, which links Barrhead and Paisley, shortly after 4pm this afternoon after drivers reported skidding through the fuel spill - with some saying their vehicles were left in a 'filthy state'.
One eyewitness said: "I drove right through it and my car is in a right state.
"It could well damage a lot of vehicles, not to mention the safety aspect."
The Barrhead News understands diversions are in place, although motorisists are advised to take alternative routes.
