Hearts go into this afternoon’s game having lost their manager this week.
Ian Cathro has gone but sometimes a team can be far more dangerous in that situation. The Hearts boys will know that they have been written off before a ball has been kicked this afternoon and it means the go into the game with no pressure whatsoever.
Being without a manager sometimes spurs players on, for whatever reason. I don’t know if it is because you want to impressive any prospective manager coming in to safeguard your place, but certainly we have all seen it time and time again that a club in the midst of a crisis like this gets a reaction on the park.
Still, it is a pretty special day for Celtic too as they unfurl the league Championship flag.
The honour of doing that will fall to Scott Brown this afternoon and I think he is fully deserving of the honour. I’d go so far as to say that he had arguably his best season at the club last term.
It is an accolade that he will enjoy and he deserves his moment in the spotlight.
