OLD Firm fans took to the pitch in Barrhead 10 years ago to show that bigotry could be put aside.
The event was set up in Cowan Park by East Renfrewshire Council with the aim of bringing Celtic and Rangers supporters together to show that both sides could play against one another without bigotry becoming part of the game.
Running for one week, the kids were mixed up and put into different teams.
A spokesman for the event credited all the youngsters who got involved.
He said: βIt has been a great success. Everyone who took part had a great time and it also keeps the kids occupied over the summer.β
