East Renfrewshire’s best businesses have been revealed.
Following months of anticipation, the winners of the East Renfrewshire Business Awards 2017, which showcased the region’s top performing companies, were announced at the Busby Hotel, in Clarkston.
More than 150 guests attended the glittering ceremony, which was hosted by Chewin’ the Fat star Karen Dunbar and included entertainment from X Factor singer Emily Middlemas.
The event was organised by East Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce and raised more than £1,400 for the Alzheimer Scotland charity.
John F Hamilton, Chamber president, said: “We are delighted with the response to the awards, which provided a platform for celebrating the category winners and their tremendous achievements. The winners really do showcase the best of East Renfrewshire’s thriving business sector. The Awards would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors and I would like to thank them all for their commitment to this event.”
Among the winners were Barrhead Travel, which collected the Developing East Renfrewshire’s Young Workforce Award, and George Leslie Ltd, which was named Best Business (11 employees or more).
Also celebrating was I-Kick Martial Arts Ltd, which won the Most Promising New Business Award, and Pioneer Mutual Credit Union Ltd, which was named winner of the Community Impact Award.
